Remediation Project | Wichita Falls, TX
Lighthouse was contracted to provide remediation services at a crude oil pipeline release. Approximately 9,500 cubic yards of overburden was removed and stock piled on-site. An additional, 3,800 cubic yards of crude oil impacted soil was excavated and hauled to an off-site landform cell where the soil was tilled and remediated per Texas Railroad Commission corrective action requirements. The excavation extended to a maximum depth of 27 feet below ground surface while maintaining and supporting an active crude oil pipeline. Furthermore, free product and water were routinely removed from the excavation in an effort to keep the excavation dewatered.
